CALL FOR ARTISTS SUBMISSION --- FLAVA FRESH 16 !
Visual Artists are invited to submit to participate in the upcoming 2019 - 2020 FLAVA FRESH XVI ! Juried, Multiple Art Exhibition Presentation Series of Contemporary Art. This years run of the FLAVA FRESH ! series will be comprised of four scheduled group exhibitions which begin with the delivery of the first display of participants work in early July 2019 and will run through early 2020.
The exhibitions are designed to provide the participants with exposure, media promotion and professional exhibition experience as well as to give guests, art enthusiasts and potential clients, novice and established art collectors the opportunity to become more aware of, and to gain greater interest and appreciation for the work of innovative newly-discovered, emergent, early-career and established contemporary artists.
* NOTE:
If you have not participated in the FLAVA FRESH ! annual exhibition presentation series, they require that you submit your contact information, website(s), a brief biography, an artist statement regarding the work that you will be showing and 4 - 6 low resolution images of your artwork by email to: FLAVAFRESHIndianapolis1@gmail.com. Please put your name and the words "Artist Submission" in the subject line.
If you have participated in the Series before and would like to be featured in this years FLAVA FRESH 16!, please send in your "Confirmation of Participation" and contact information if it has changed, by e-mail as soon as possible before the DEADLINE: by Midnight on FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2019. Selected participants will be notified at that time.
If your work is selected by the adjudicating committee, you will be notified by email. They will send the timeline and information in regard to your meeting with the Coordinator or the Curator and paying the "Artist Participant Fee" which should take no more than ten minutes.
You will need 6 - 8 pieces of artwork to participate in this years Series run of four exhibitions. The artwork for all of the exhibitions must be original, new or created within the last five years, and must never have been displayed in the FLAVA FRESH ! exhibition presentation series at any time. Artist's may present 2- or 3-dimensional works (If showing 3-D, Please let them know when you confirm your participation). There are two venues which are available to new media and installation.
By presenting new artworks in each of the multiple venues, They extend the viewing of your wonderful work to a much wider spectrum of audience. 2-dimensional work must be framed appropriately or finished "Gallery Style." 2-D work will not be accepted with unfinished bare sides/edges no matter the substrate, and must be wired appropriately and securely. Artwork that is not suitable under the FLAVA FRESH ! standards of presentation will not be included.
If you are selected to participate, the first venue is a "One Piece Show" and it is also the only site that has plexi-glass enclosed pedestal showcases and floor showcases. (Please notify them promptly if you intend to show 3-D work which has to be less than 27 inches in height to stand upright in the enclosed cases.).
Participating artists must be able to hand deliver and pick-up their artworks, or designate someone to deliver & pick-up their work for each of the four venues. Participants MUST NOTIFY Flava Fresh at least a week in advance of Delivery and/or Pick-Up who it is that they have designated.
FLAVA FRESH ! staff or the partnering art venues DO NOT WIRE, REPAIR, PICK-UP, HOLD, STORE or TRANSPORT artwork.
FEE:
If your work is selected, the "Artist Fee" for the complete Series of exhibitions and three accompanying Artists Receptions is only $65.00.
