About Amplifier

Amplifier is a design lab that builds art to amplify the voices of grassroots movements. Amplifier works with a community of social change partners, in both the for-profit and non-profit worlds, to build symbols, language, and distribution strategies that can change the national narrative.  Amplifier draws from a deep portfolio of artists to commission new art, then takes the work and distributes it in unparalleled numbers through creative space hacks, reaching new audiences and driving real change.

Project Description

YOUR art has power. Art can heal, art can save lives, and art can bring us together even while we are apart. It can be a compass to guide us through this storm. This is your chance to make work that will be distributed worldwide and will inspire us all to stay strong, safe, and united.

Artworks will be distributed widely, both online and in the physical locations where they are needed most. All art selected by the jury will also be made available as free downloads for anyone to print and share.

These symbols will stand long after the virus is gone as a testament to our resilience.

Artwork Description

We are looking for two kinds of work: The first are public health and safety messages that can help flatten the curve through education. The second are symbols that help promote mental health, well-being, and social change work during these stressful times.

  1. Since Amplifier is reproducing and distributing any accepted work, is Amplifier assuming license control over the work? I think I’m asking a pertinent question. Or, does the image become part of the “Commons”?

    • Paul, you’d have to check Amplifier’s agreements to get the answer to your question. I believe all of their work becomes part of the Creative Commons world.
