GOLDEN HOUR SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP AT MOUNDS STATE PARK
Those who participate in the Golden Hour Smartphone Photography Workshop will be empowered to make beautiful pictures with their smartphones in Mounds State Park during the magical light that is known as The Golden Hour.
DATE AND TIME:
First Session: Saturday, August 29, 6:00 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. (Sunset) Second Session: Saturday, November 7, 3:00 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. (Sunset)
LOCATION:
Mounds State Park (Meet at the Nature Center’s front porch) 4306 Mounds Rd, Anderson, IN 46017
WORKSHOP FEE:
$10.00
Participants will learn how to use their smartphones to photograph landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and do macro photography. Following the photography instruction, the park staff will give a tour of the mounds and discuss the site’s historical significance. They will also point out plants, animals, and scenery of particular interest. Following the tour, the participants will have the opportunity to shoot photographs throughout the park.
For a fee of $10, participants will receive admission to the park, a printed handout, a miniature tripod, and a box of photographic clip-on lenses for their smartphones. Only the first ten people who register per session will receive the workshop materials.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the workshop will be limited to 10 people. Registration will be required to attend. All participants will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing. The workshop will be held entirely outside, so dress appropriately.
