4th Grade Initiative for Marion and Delaware County Schools

GRANTS AVAILABLE TO MARION COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
FOR TOURS OF INDY HISTORIC SITES

A very special grant is now available that will fully fund Marion County and Delaware County fourth-grade public school classes' visits to the Statehouse, the State Library and the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.

Tours and bus costs are fully underwritten by these privately-funded grants, which are available until funding depletes. Grant funding is being provided by the Indianapolis Foundation, the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, and the Ball Brothers Foundation.

The tours associated with these grants will consume the majority of the school day, as they are designed to provide exhaustive 45-minute tours at each of the three tour sites.

It should also be noted that 31 unique state standards will be achieved in the course of the tours, which are being provided in conjunction with the statewide celebration of Indiana's state bicentennial.

For more information and details about the grant application process, please contact Roger Hardig, Vice President of Education for the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site Vice President of Education, at (317)631-1888 or via email.
