Our Creative Community Exhibition Seeks Artwork from Hamilton County Artists

Our Creative Community callout
for an exhibit at Nov 2016 Noblesville City Hall

The Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) is offering local artists the opportunity to display their work in a public venue during the month of November. Any artists (who are not juried into the HCAA) are eligible to submit two pieces of 2D or 3D for an exhibit in the south corridor of the Noblesville City Hall in the month of November. The artists should have a connection to Hamilton County, either by working in or living in this area at some time in their lives.

The exhibit is entitled Our Creative Community and will be a non-judged event inviting residents to share in the excitement of the creative process. Our Creative Community runs from November 1 until November 30. This exhibit replaces a former HCAA-sponsored exhibit entitled Community Creates, which was held in past years at the Hamilton County Artists’ Association’s home, The Birdie Gallery.

This year’s Our Creative Community event will show the varied and talented artistic endeavors currently being produced in the local art community. During the August 2016 Noblesville City Council Meeting, a large portion of the Noblesville’s downtown area was formally dedicated as an official Cultural Arts District. This area is now awaiting final approval from the State of Indiana to be tagged with that name.

This open callout is available to any interested artisans as a vehicle to show their work and display their creativity to the public. Applications are posted on the Hamilton County Artists’ Association website. Noblesville City Hall is open every business day from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Any questions may be directed to Kay Richards, vice-president of Partnerships for the HCAA at

A small reception for participating artists is planned for Tuesday evening, November 15 from 5:30 to 7:00pm. The Our Creative Community exhibit runs from November 1 until November 30.

Specific drop-off times are included in the website information.

Application Deadline: October 24, 2016
