Second Annual free IPAPA Paintout

First Brush of Fall... no membership or fees required. $2,000 in prizes with about that much in purchase awards from the community and businesses. Paintings purchased by the community donations will be placed in a permanent art collection for future generations and art instructors to use to teach about Indiana's Plein Air heritage -- past and present.
Recently named an Indiana Bicentennial Legacy Project.

6-9 a.m. check in
3:30 p.m. town-center judging
4:30 to 6 p.m public sale and exhibition
6 p.m. brats and beer for artists at hosts home

RSVP gets you on the list to receive updates on camping, locations, maps, etc

  • Last year 50 artists attended from three states
  • Canvases must be stamped Saturday Morning from 6 to 9 a.m. to be eligible for prices
  • Friday arrivals encouraged but not required
  • Camping available at DNR Mississinewa Lake website, cabins too
  • Free rustic camping, pit toilet at nearby woods
  • A limited FCFS number of rooms in local homes
