POSITION PURPOSE

The Multimedia Coordinator is an integral part of moving the institution’s print and digital initiatives forward to enhance the overall visitor experience and engagement both on-site and online. The position supports the IRT’s portfolio of print and digital offerings, including direct mail pieces, ad creation, website, mobile offerings, video content, social media and overall digital marketing.

POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibilities are split between graphic design (digital ads, brochures, communication) and photo/web/video editing and social media engagement
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Sales team to design, publish and maintain content on the IRT’s website and related digital and print products (including filming and editing video and designing various marketing pieces)
  • Support IRT social media engagement through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other digital
    mediums
  • Support the Theatre’s Artistic, Development and Education Departments by designing digital and print pieces
  • Ensure that online initiatives successfully serve our diverse audiences
  • Identify emerging technology and trends and integrate into the Marketing plan
  • Help monitor analytics and use metrics to inform content strategy

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Other duties as determined by the Marketing Communications Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

  • BA or BS required; with a concentration in graphic design, communications, multi-media, digital media or digital communications preferred
  • 1-4 years’ experience designing and supporting a digital engagement campaign including ad creation, social media, video and engagement strategies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with web and mobile development content management systems (such as eRube or WordPress), and scripting languages
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Experience with video-editing platforms like Final Cut Pro, Avid or Adobe Premiere Pro
