Indiana Treasurer of State Seeks Artwork for Statehouse Office

The Office of the Indiana State Treasurer is requesting submissions from Indiana artists for exhibition at the Indiana State Treasurer's Office, located at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis. The office is open to the public.

ABOUT THE OFFICE OF THE TREASURER
The Indiana State Treasurer is one of five constitutional offices and has broad responsibilities and authority in the areas of investment and finance. Daniel Elliott serves as the 56th Treasurer of State, the fifth highest-ranking statewide government official. The Treasurer is elected statewide every four years. In addition to being the State’s chief investment officer and banker, the Treasurer serves as chairperson or a member of numerous State boards, commissions and authorities.

 

Submissions will be reviewed and selected by staff of the Indiana State Treasurer's Office. There is no theme.

Artwork must be 2D and framed (if appropriate), wired, and ready to hang. Artwork should be a minimum of 11" x 14" and maximum of 36" x 36" or 30" x 40".

All Indiana artists over the age of 18 are welcome to submit.

Work must be delivered to the Indiana State Treasurer's Office by May 10, 2023 and picked up within a week of the close of the exhibition. Artwork may be available for sale with the artist being responsible for managing the sale (the Treasurer's Office will connect interested patrons with the artist to complete sales). The Treasurer's office will not take a commission on sales.

Submission Process:

To submit, please email the following to Hope Orono at HOrono@tos.in.gov:
Up to 5 (five) images
Images should be 72dpi and around 800 pixels in any direction or
of a file size less than 1MB each.
Image list in the body of the e-mail (not in a separate document)
Including title, date, medium, dimensions and price.
Please include dimensions of actual display space, meaning including any frames.
Timeline:

Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, May 3, 2023, by 5 p.m.

Artists notified: Friday, May 5, 2023 by 12pm.

Artwork delivered to the Treasure's Office: Wednesday, May 10, 2023 by 5p.m.

Exhibition dates: May 10 – September 22, 2023

Artwork pick up dates: September 21 and 22, 2023
