Position Title: Guest Relations Manager
Department: Executive Office, IMS Museum
Reports To: President, IMS Museum
Location: IMS Museum Welcome Lobby and 2nd Floor Executive Office,

4750 W. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
●Identify and implement a seamless and integrated online ticketing system for all IMS Museum (IMSM)
events.
●Create an online IMSM evaluation system for customer feedback, and from that data, develop
actionable plans to improve the IMSM guest experience.
●Create a docent training program for current and future docents. Recruit and train new
docents, and manage the training program on an ongoing basis, enacting improvements to
increase the guest experience within the IMS Museum and track tours.
●With the Curator of Vehicles and Director of Communications, create a self-guided Museum
audio tour.
●Oversee creation of a new IMS Museum/Indianapolis Motor Speedway orientation film.
●Participate as needed on planning committees for events.
●Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
●Bachelor’s or equivalent degree preferred.
●Four years of relevant guest-relations or customer service management experience. Familiarity with
museum / attraction ticketing and evaluation systems a plus.

●Must be physically able to assist in moving or setting up Museum displays, and to participate in setup
and tear-down for special events.
●Must be willing to work some early mornings, evenings, and weekends for events, particularly during
Indianapolis 500 activities and other IMS event weekends.
●As a representative of one of the world’s premier automotive and motorsports museums, must have
enthusiasm and a commitment to the IMS Museum’s vision, mission, values, and goals.
 Must be a positive ambassador for the Museum in the greater Indianapolis community.
