In recognition of the disruptive impact the COVID-19 crisis has had on artists and arts organizations across the region, The Joyce Foundation is extending the timeline for applications for the 2021 Joyce Awards. The new deadline for submission of Letters of Intent (LOI) is September 14, 2020, with awardees selected in April 2021.
For applicants who have already submitted an LOI, you are welcome to use this extension as an opportunity to modify and resubmit your application if you would like. You can find more information on their new timeline here. For questions about specific applications, please contact Masum Momaya at email@example.com.
The Joyce Awards, the only program supporting artists of color in major Great Lakes cities, has awarded nearly $3.7 million to commission 69 new works since the program started in 2003. Each year cash awards of $50,000 go to support partnerships between artists and cultural or community organizations in six eligible cities: Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis-Saint Paul.
Joyce Award winners are determined in December of each year. Visit their “How to Apply” page for more details. View their 15th Anniversary Joyce Awards video here. Find more information at http://www.joycefdn.org/joyce-awards and find additional information on:
