Eligibility:
This exhibition is open to all artists, 18 years of age and over. All works must be original and completed in the last three (3) years and not previously exhibited at Athens Arts Gallery. Accepted works may not be withdrawn by the artist prior to the close of the exhibition and must abide by all rules and specifications.
Awards and Sales:
- $1000 Best of Show plus other monetary awards
- Awards will be announced and presented during the opening reception- April 6, 2019
- Artists are encouraged to attend the opening reception
- Art must be for sale.
Entry Procedure:
- May submit up to 3 works
- Types of art accepted: 2D & 3D
- sculpture, photography, painting, printmaking, computer (digital) generated art, fiber, mixed media, drawings, pottery, etc.
- Description of media on entry forms, be detailed. Include support (Canvas, panel, clay, etc.) For prints and photographs, include specific processes and edition numbers if applicable.
- Maximum dimensions of 2D works may not exceed 6’ X 6’ framed and weight cannot exceed 50#.
- Maximum dimensions of 3D works may not exceed 8’ x 4’ x 4’ and weight cannot exceed 100#.
- All works must come maintenance free.
Entry Specifications
1. May submit up to 3 works, all must be for sale
2. Entries accepted through online- caFE’ only
3. $35.00, non-refundable entry fee (payment through caFE)
4. Digital files of work
- Up to 2 images per 2D work and 4 views for 3D and sculptural work
- Images must be formatted as JPEG, JPG under 5MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side
- Rotate for correct orientation
5. State/description of work- in support of work limited to 250 words
6. Entries must be received by midnight (MST), Saturday, March 9, 2019.
7. Entries will not be processed until payment is received
Calendar/schedule
- Exhibition dates: April 6- May 4, 2019
- Entry due by midnight (MST) Saturday, March 9
- Notifications No later than Monday, March 18
- Deliver dates: March 30-31
- Shipped work must arrive at Athens March 27- March 30
- Opening Reception and awards presentation Saturday, April 6
- Pick up May 5-6, 2019
