The Marilyn Rose Center is excited to announce a vibrant opportunity for artists to showcase their creativity in Kaleidoscope of Color: A ROYGBIV Exhibition during the month of June. We invite artists of all backgrounds and mediums to participate in this colorful celebration of the spectrum.

Theme:

The theme of this exhibition revolves around the colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet (ROYGBIV). Artists are encouraged to explore the visual impact, symbolism, and emotional resonance of these hues in their artworks. Whether through painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, or any other artistic medium, we want to see your interpretation of the ROYGBIV spectrum.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Artwork: All submissions must reflect the ROYGBIV theme and incorporate at least one of the colors from the rainbow spectrum. Artists are encouraged to experiment with different shades, combinations, and artistic styles.

  1. Medium: We welcome submissions in various mediums, including but not limited to painting, drawing, collage, digital art, photography, textile art, ceramics, and installations. Feel free to explore unconventional materials and techniques to bring your vision to life.

  1. Originality: We value originality and encourage artists to showcase their unique perspectives and creative approaches to the theme. Your artwork should demonstrate a fresh interpretation of the ROYGBIV spectrum.

  1. Submission Format: Please submit high-resolution images or a portfolio of your artwork via email to curatorsmrc@gmail.com. Include your name, contact information, a brief artist statement, and a description of each artwork submitted.

  1. Deadline: The deadline for submissions is May 20th, 2024.

Selection Process:

A panel of art professionals and enthusiasts will carefully review all submissions. The selection will be based on artistic merit, creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall impact. Selected artists will be notified via email no later than May 30th, 2024.
