Creative Works is seeking a laminate installation specialist. This position will operate under our carpentry shop and will be responsible for the finish details of the production-related to anything that requires finishing work. The ideal candidate for this position is an honest, reliable, and hardworking team player who loves to learn and enjoys working with their hands and building things.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The layup of laminates on custom made furniture, platforms, props, and decor
  • Laminate and prepare customer products to exact process specifications that meet both our company’ and our customer’s quality requirements
  • Clean, dry fit, and trim parts
  • Perform bonding, curing, and wet laminating tasks associated with the product
  • Undertake work within your training capabilities as assigned by your lead or manager
  • Participate in brainstorming/problem solving with Engineering & Production personnel to solve related problems
  • Work with in-house computer systems to record job status, time spent, and material tracking

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Team player
  • Highly detailed and perfection driven
  • Excellent hand skills
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in laminating wood solid surface or general carpentry is a must
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and others as necessary
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Crouching, kneeling, bending, and reaching
  • Close vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to focus
  • Finger dexterity
  • Hearing sounds and communication
  • Handling, grasping, and operating tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 75+ pounds safely in a team lift situation

Pay & Benefits:

  • Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt (45+ hours weekly)
  • Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday -Thursday (Friday overtime is a possibility based on production timelines and deadlines)
  • Salary: $15.00-23.00 per hour based on experience
