Milhaus Seeks Artists for Broad Ripple Project

Milhaus Development is seeking an artist or artists to create public art for up to three locations at their Versa project, located in Broad Ripple Village. The opportunities and offered project fees are as follows:

  1. Vertical mural facing Broad Ripple Avenue, 880 s.f., $45,000
  2. Suspended feature between buildings and visible from Guilford Avenue, $45,000
  3. Horizontal mural in alley at the west of the project, 500 s.f., $25,000

Please see the attached full RFQ and design plans for additional details.

Brand colors will be provided but artists are free to work within their own color palette and personal aesthetic.

Anticipated Schedule – Negotiable with selected artist

  • Qualification Submission and Selection // 4 weeks
  • Concept Development // 8-12 weeks
  • Mural Install and Execution // Open to work within typical season
  • Final Inspection and Touch-ups // within 2 weeks of completion

To apply, provide the following materials no later than April 22, 2024:

  1. Detailed Fee Proposal:
    • Cost breakdown for artwork design and execution for each area
    • Any additional costs, such as materials, equipment, or permits (note that all exterior artwork at grade must be finished with anti-graffiti coating)
  2. Portfolio:
    • Examples of previous mural projects
    • References from past clients
  3. Project Timeline:
    • Present your preferred timeline if it doesn’t align with the above anticipated schedule
  4. Team Information: Resumes or profiles of artist/team members who will be working on the project
