The Monster Project is coming to Indianapolis this year! They’re looking for local artists who are passionate about art education and are willing to interact with the kids in person. While they still plan to invite artists from all over the world to participate, they also want to introduce the kids to some working creatives in Indy in hopes that they will see that a career in art is achievable and exciting!
What is the Monster Project?
Kids draw monsters, then artists from all over the world recreate them in their own styles!
They hope to help children recognize the power of their own imaginations and to encourage them to pursue their creative potential.
If you are selected to participate, they will reach out to you in early-mid August with more details. The project will kick off in September 2017 and all artists will have one month to recreate their student’s drawing. Indianapolis artists will then attend an in-class presentation in early November where the monsters will be revealed to the students.
