Monument Circle Art Fair 2017
The third art fair on the beautiful Soldiers and Sailors Circle Monument in downtown Indianapolis. An attraction for local and regional art-fair goers as well as out-of-town visitors, rain or shine, this free-to-the-public event features regional art, music, and food trucks, which surround the outer circle. Monument Circle Art Fair is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of artists and culture in an historically artistic setting.

Application submission:
- Email four (4) images (one booth or display shot included) and a work description of 200 words or less along with your name, medium, and phone number to:
monumentcircleart@gmail.com (Receipt of images by MCAF constitutes permission for use in MCAF online photo gallery upon acceptance.)
- Application fee: $15 (nonrefundable) made payable to Monument Circle Art Fair (or MCAF)
- Application fee and photos due by April 15th (early applications) or May 15th. Please, if possible, pay by check, which allows more money for the event.

Artists' calendar:
- Application process begins: December 15, 2016
- Application deadline: April 15, 2017 (early applications) and May 15, 2017
- Artists’ notifications: April 22, 2017 (early applications) and May 22, 2017
- Confirmation of acceptance with booth fee due within ten days of acceptance
- Deadline for refunds: August 15, 2017, less $30 administration fee
Jurors' criteria:
- Work that is original, well conceived, and expertly executed by the artist (Jurors seek an assortment of styles representing a variety of media.)
During the show:
- Artists must be present at their booth.
- Artists collect their own sales tax.
- Monument Circle Art Fair reserves the right to refuse those violating the rules and guidelines.
- Monument Circle Art Fair is not responsible for artist's loss or damage due to theft or weather.
Further Guidelines:
- open to all indiana and neighboring state artists
- call for entries begins december 15, 2016, with space for approximately 80 artists' booths
- tents no greater than 10' x 10'
- no stakes allowed, weights only
- no trucks larger than a pickup allowed inside the bollards
- no motorized vehicles on grass
- load and unload on inner lane of the circle
- tents strongly recommended but not required
- display tables, if used, must be draped
- professional displays only, no plastic put-together shelving
- photos with application must be representative of work to be sold
- work must be original and produced in the last 3 years
- signed and numbered copies of an original 2-d work of art are to be no more than 50% of booth
- collaborating artists permitted with only joint works to be shown
- galleries may apply, but individual artists given preference--gallery spaces based on availability
