Budget: To be determined by artist

Eligibility: Professional artists over 18 living in central Indiana (prefer artists living in/near Fountain Square)

Deadline: May 8, 2019

Unveiled in 2012, Fountain Square Plaza serves as a public gathering space for live music, community events, residents and visitors. Located in the heart of Fountain Square, at the intersections of Virginia Avenue, Shelby and Prospect Streets, the plaza is visible to thousands of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists daily.

The GVAC EID is excited about the opportunity to work with a local artist to visually enhance the space and reduce graffiti to plaza amenities. There is no required theme, however, the GVAC EID is especially interested in designs that highlight the area’s thriving culture and community and is appropriate for all audiences.

The project will be to design and produce a mural for two east side canopy panels, steel columns, and utility box.
