Near Northwest Community Call for Artists
The Near Northwest Community is in the midst of a series of projects that will highlight the assets of local neighborhoods through the arts as a vehicle for engagement. Arts from a variety of disciplines can bring their creativity to the table by engaging in conversations with community members to strengthen and expand upon the dreams, ideas, and beauty of our communities. The Reconnecting to Our Waterways (ROW) Canal Committee is excited to announce an open call to artists to attend an information meeting to learn about upcoming paid public art opportunities, which include co-leading Artist/Scientist Walks and developing art objects/installations/events near the waterway. The meeting will be at 2pm on Saturday, August 17th at Groundwork Indy (1100 Burdsal Pkwy, Indianapolis, IN 46208). Artists of all disciplines and stages of professional development are welcome.
