Ballet INitiative seeks professional dancers for their production of Nutcracker with a Twist.
Nutcracker with a Twist is Ballet INitiative's multi-style Nutcracker. The first act is done to Duke Ellington's arrangement and is set in the 1920's and the second act is based on the suite instead of the traditional country. Dance styles that are included but are not limited to tap, jazz, character, classical ballet, and contemporary.
Performance info:
- Location - The Basile Theatre at the Athenaeum
- Tech/Dress Rehearsal - Not set but will either be December 14th or 15th depending on availability.
- Performances - December 16th - 18th times TBD (Will be a Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday matinee)
- There will be a stipend for this performance.
Rehearsals will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. based on dancer availability.
