Full Job Description
We are seeking for friendly, enthusiastic and experienced Bartenders to join our team at Indy’s newest live entertainment venue. This position will play an important role in creating an amazing experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities include:
Arrive prior to bar opening to set up station in coordination with barback
Confirm cash on hand and maintain security of register at all times
Understand how to operate all cash and credit card transaction equipment and systems
Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons upon request
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
Monitor bar area for any security concerns
Monitor beverage intake to prevent the over-serving of anyone
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies in coordination with barback
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Comply with all food and beverage regulations
After bar closes, coordinate with barback to ensure bar is organized, stocked and clean
At the end of each shift, work with Bar Manager to count and document all cash and credit card sales, and to determine tip distribution
Reports to:
Director of Marketing and Sales
Requirements:
Must hold a Liquor/Bartender license from the Indiana Alcohol Tobacco Commission
Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Computer and mathematical literacy is required
Preferably with a minimum of one year experience working as a Bartender
Excellent knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, garnishing and serving drinks
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time and is physically mobile
Able to be always punctual, stays on schedule, and maintains regular attendance
Should pass the background check
Should be 21 years of age or older
