Arts for Learning is seeking an artist or artist collective to work as an independent contractor/s to create new and original public artworks of which the design and inspiration must come from the community and through youth-led activities at Southwestern Elementary in Shelbyville.
*For this project preference will be given to artists with residence in Shelby County Indiana. *Applications will be accepted from any Indiana artist, but mileage costs are not guaranteed to be fully covered.
Project Overview: Student-inspired public art in partnership with Southwestern Elementary in Shelbyville.
Project Goal: Create a public art piece inspired by stories and poems by students in K-6 for placement in the school garden.
