Every year, creative minds (professional artists, amateurs and emerging talents) are welcome to participate in a month-long art exhibition held at the Indiana Interchurch Center in Indianapolis, punctuated with social and educational events open to everyone and free of charge.

The 2016 edition invites participants to reflect on Indiana's nature and environment in the light of the 200th anniversary of our State, created in 1816.

The Annual Art Show of the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter represents a great opportunity for artists to gain visibility in an open and diverse environment. The Indiana Interchurch Center Gallery regularly receives hundreds of visitors for each of its featured exhibition. In addition, the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter has thousands of members across the State of Indiana who will all be invited to the exhibition through our newsletter, emails and communication on our website and Facebook page.

The exhibition will also be paced with exciting events such as:

  • a vernissage and reception to which all participants will be personally invited and recognized for their talent,
  • a panel discussion where environmental experts and artists will address the successes and challenges that the State of Indiana has been through for the last 200 years, and what the future holds,
  • an Art-versation where students will be offered a free-speech space to think about environmental solutions through the arts
  • an educational workshop where children will learn how to recycle and reuse waste into artistic and purposeful items, and some surprises along the way!

The submission deadline for artworks is July 21, 2016. Interested artists are required to fill out the online form, which can be found here and emailed to hoosier.chapter@sierraclub.org or mailed to:
