StitchWorks is a sewing facility operated by PATTERN, a 501c3 nonprofit, that provides production services to apparel designers and education to those wishing to learn the skill of industrial sewing.
They are currently looking for contract stitchers who are able to help sew isolation gowns from home.
Requirements:
Able to sew at least 30 gowns every week.
Owns a straight-stitch machine and a serger
Experienced stitchers only (5+ years of regular sewing)
Compensation: $10 per gown sewn exactly to specification. All gowns go through a quality control check, and incorrectly sewn gowns will be returned to stitcher to be fixed or $$ will be deducted from compensation if gown has to be fixed in-house.
