THEME & ELIGIBILITY: Works that complement the general aesthetic of the gallery and theme with a tribute to the new hit Netflix show “Stranger Things.” Also accepting pieces that fall under the category “Strange Things” with a focus on something strange – which can be left to be interpreted by the artist. Please send your sketch or concept to firstname.lastname@example.org for eligibility!
*Work must be original, preferably completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited more than twice. Works in progress are greatly encouraged for this show!
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, September 30th, 2016
Participating artists will be notified by MONDAY, October 1, 2016
SPECIFICATIONS: No size limitation, however, some pieces may not be accepted due to space, flow and hazard issues and restrictions. All 2D works must be framed or suitably presented.
Wall hanging pieces must have D ring attachments or be properly ready to hang. Hanging works may not exceed 30 lbs. The gallery will be responsible for hanging your work and a liability form will need to be released prior to committing to the show.
ACCEPTED MEDIUMS: All mediums will be considered for entry, however, some pieces may not be accepted due to space, flow and hazard issues and restrictions.
SALES: The event coordinator encourages the sale of works. A respectful 20% commission is requested for the venue. “Strange(r) Things” is a FREE, ALL AGES exhibition including some light snacks and beverages. Music and other entertainment TBA.
