The Starry Night Residency Program provides artists, writers, and curators with the opportunity to live and work within a small, creative community. Located in the downtown historic hot springs district of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, the program is a place where  participants can find quiet solitude and focus on their work. In operation from May through September, residencies are a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 8 weeks. The residency includes a private, fully furnished apartment with private bathroom and kitchen, shared studio space, and courtyard with gardens, barbecue, and campfire area. Emerging artists, writers, and arts administrators are encouraged to apply. Participants may apply to bring their partners or a creative team member for the duration of their residency. There is no application fee.

Financial Aid: Based on merit and documented need, there is limited financial aid available. Financial aid requests cannot exceed more than 50% of fees for residency, and cannot include costs of travel, etc.

Residency fees: The cost for residency is $900 per week. Participants may apply to bring their partner, spouse, or creative partner for an additional $300 per week. Payment plans are available, and early consideration is available upon request.

1. Artists accepted into the residency program will have the option of being included in their third edition of Artists to Look Out For, published in paperback and digital editions, and will be available for distribution via Amazon, Lulu Press, and Kindle in December 2016.

2. Artists accepted into the residency program will have the opportunity to enroll in our online professional practices program, Artist Resources & Tools, at an 80% discount. Standard enrollment fees for the eight week course are $995, but artists who are accepted into the residency program have the option to enroll in the self study or the interactive, guided course beginning in the Spring of 2016 for only $195. This program is geared towards visual artists, but the course content can be applied to other disciplines as well.

Starry Night is dedicated to the advancement of artists through multiple programs that nurture and support their careers. This includes the programs mentioned above, as well as the Starry Night Exposure program, which brings the work of contemporary, emerging artists to Miami for exhibition during Art Basel Miami. The Exposure program is for serious visual artists who wish to gain rapid exposure at the largest art fair in the Americas. Enrollment to their online professional practices course, Artist Resources & Tools, as well as automatic inclusion in the Artists to Look Out For publication is included with the Exposure Program.
