Thorntown Press Creative Exchange in Thorntown, Indiana currently has an OPENING for a resident artist. Thorntown is half way between West Lafayette and Indianapolis northwest suburbs on I-65 north. They would prefer a printmaker or a multi-media artist interested in sharing a recently renovated open space of approximately 1,590 square foot. A portion will be dedicated to a student demonstration/ art display area and a tools/ materials area. This studio will contain an automated etching press with a bed of 24″ x 48″, waist high inking stations for 8-12 artists, work tables, demo tilt mirror, ample flat files for paper storage, private locker storage, an aquatint cabinet for tonal etching, a vertical ferric chloride bath, a large professional hot plate and a large paper soaking area with washout sink and a deep tub utility sink.
