A 4-week crash course in making Cinematic VR. You will learn the basic concepts of using the Unity3D game engine to build your own virtual worlds. Artist Carla Knopp has structured this course specifically for artists, filmmakers, designers or anyone interested in learning this emerging medium. No coding knowledge or previous game develop experience required. Participants will have access to an online course of tutorials (not yet released to the public) to review before class. Classes will meet once each week for in-person instruction.
Requirements: Windows or MacOS laptop, 3-button scroll wheel mouse, jump drive. The workshop teaches free software, but for 3D/360 video output, you will need to purchase a $25 asset package.
Class A schedule: 4 Saturdays 1-3pm 3/16/19 3/23/19 3/30/19 4/6/19 (Class size limit: 3)
Class B schedule: 4 Mondays 10-noon 3/18/19 3/25/19 4/1/19 4/8/19 (Class size limit: 3)
