ARTs is officially launching the Women in Arts Mentorship Program! We are thrilled to invite you to apply to our community of artists committed to fostering creativity, collaboration, and equality in the arts. This program is designed to empower and uplift emerging women artists of color through mentorship, professional development, and a supportive network.

Who Should Apply?

  • Emerging women artists of color seeking mentorship and guidance to elevate their artistic practice.
  • Professional Artists seeking to be mentor.
  • Artists who are ready to engage in a collaborative and supportive environment.

 

How to Apply:

  • Complete the Form: Fill out the registration form with details about your artistic background, goals, and expectations.
  • Share a brief description of your artistic journey, what inspires you, and your goals as an artist.
  • Clarify your expectations from the program, including what you hope to achieve through mentorship.
  • Confirm your commitment to participating in regular mentorship sessions, workshops, and program events.
  • Join a community that celebrates diversity, supports growth, and empowers women in the arts.
  • 3-5 emerging artists, and 3-5 professional artists will be chosen form the fields of visual artists, music, literature, and performing arts.

Mentee Eligibility Requirements for Women of Color Artist Mentorship Program: Registration Opens 4/1/24

Self-identify as a woman of color or non-binary person of color.

Engaged in any artistic discipline, including but not limited to visual arts, performing arts, literature, digital arts, and more.

Open to emerging and mid-career artists who are actively pursuing or engaged in their artistic practice.

Mentors: Open to career stage creatives actively pursing their practice

Willingness to commit to monthly mentorship sessions, workshops, and program events for the specified program duration.

Willingness to actively engage in the program's community activities, including networking events, exhibitions, and collaborative projects.

Availability for mentorship sessions and program events as outlined in the program schedule.

Complete and submit the program's application form, providing accurate and truthful information.

 

Mentor Eligibility Requirements for Women of Color Artist Mentorship Program: Registration Open

Program Orientation: Review program expectations, and establish communication guidelines.

JUNE
Mentorship Sessions and Workshops

Mentorship Sessions: Conduct regular one-on-one mentorship sessions between mentors and mentees, focusing on career development, portfolio review, goal setting, and career guidance.

Workshops: Organize workshops and training sessions on topics such as portfolio development, marketing strategies, grant writing, and networking.

Community Building: Networking events and collaborative activities to foster connections among participants.
