WONDERLAB MUSEUM OF SCIENCE, HEALTH AND TECHNOLOGY
POSITION TITLE: Development Director
PURPOSE: Oversee a comprehensive development program with a focus on long-term sustainability; including annual giving, major gifts, donor cultivation and stewardship, planned giving, corporate and foundation gifts and grants, and special events. Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Board of Directors on development issues and as a lead staff member to promote WonderLab to the community. Work with Executive Director and the Board on the planning and implementation of a capital fundraising campaign. Oversee all administrative aspects of the Development and Membership Department.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing an annual development program, working with major gift donors, overseeing special event fundraising, and experience with capital campaigns.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
STATUS: Full time salaried (40 hours/week), with occasional evening and weekend hours (Fair Labor Standards Act category: “exempt”)
START DATE: June 1, 2017 or when filled
SALARY: Commensurate with experience (range $40,000 – $50,000/year)
