PERFORMANCE: GRADES 4TH – 12TH
The Performance class is a unique theatrical process geared toward 100% engagement. This happens through a process called devised theatre. Classes do not start with a script, instead students are brought into the process of script writing through acting exercises, discussions and ensemble work. Teachers and students will create an original piece of theatre where all students will be onstage the entire play. Why? Because this is an educational process and we believe students will grow more as an individual AND an actor by being engaged 100%. Devising is common in many collaborative artistic settings, and we believe is the best way to challenge students to grow to their true potential.
