Calling young actors!
Main Street Productions at Westfield Playhouse is pleased to announce auditions for its summer youth production, L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, by M. Davis. Auditions will be held at The Journey Church, 17716 Eagletown Road, Westfield (Eagletown), IN 46074, on Sunday, May 21st, and Monday, May 22nd, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The Journey Church is 2 blocks north of SR 32 and just north of the Playhouse.
Youth ages 10 to 18 are welcome; there are 16-20 speaking roles ranging from school students (including Anne and her best friend) to older farmer, nosy neighbor, and the author herself as the narrator. This adaptation follows Anne from ages 11 to 16. No monologue necessary; director Veronique Duprey will have you read from the script.
Shows will run July 21-23 and 28-30. Rehearsals will start on June 5th and will generally be held Monday-Thursday evenings; not all roles will be called every rehearsal. This is the only non-musical summer youth production in the Indy area!
