ZeroLandfill is a program that takes samples from the architectural and interior design industry that would normally go to the landfill, and makes them available to artists and teachers who can give them a purpose.
This will be their third event! Please invite anyone you think might want to help volunteer or shop for free art materials.
They are really excited about Mayer Fabrics hosting their event again this year in their downtown location. They will be there collecting, sorting and giving away materials with the potential to be part of a masterpiece (or a school project). Here’s the location – 321 S Alabama St, Indpls, 46204
The public ‘shopping’ day will be Saturday, June 4 from 9 am to 3 pm. Please come visit! Bring boxes and bags to fill with treasures!
They always need volunteers for accepting and sorting the materials as they are dropped off and also help on the pick-up day. Some advantages to this include first dibs on the goods and free food.
Here are the drop off days and times:
Thursday, May 26, 4 – 7 pm
Wednesday, June 1, 4 – 7 pm
Thursday, June 2, 4 – 7 pm
Friday, June 3, 4 – 7 pm
And the pick-up party open to the public day is:
