A celebration of Black composers and musicians presented by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis featuring the Symphonic Praise Choir and The Performing Arts Conservatory. Special guest Carman Moore, composer of “Gospel Fuse.”
For 25 years, the Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphonic Praise Choir, and soloists and musicians from Central Indiana have celebrated the works of Black composers of orchestral works who wrote praise and gospel music. This year’s concert features Carman Moore’s “Gospel Fuse,” which was premiered by the San Francisco Symphony in 1975. Carman Moore will be a special guest at the concert.
