39th Annual McFadden Memorial Lecture: Jacqueline Woodson

Families and individuals of all ages are invited to hear award-winning children’s author Jacqueline Woodson discuss her works and to meet the author during a book signing following the presentation. Woodson’s autobiographical book of verse for young children, “Brown Girl Dreaming,” received the 2015 Newbery Honor Award and 2014 National Book Award. In 2015, Woodson was named “Young People’s Poet Laureate” by the Poetry Foundation for a two-year tenure.
