Peter Cook is a deaf performing artist, whose work incorporates American Sign Language, pantomime, storytelling, acting, and movement. Using nonverbal methods of storytelling, Cook creates community for both deaf and hearing audiences.

Since 1986, Cook has traveled extensively with Kenny Lerner to promote the Flying Words Project and ASL literature. He has performed as a solo performer at the National Storytelling Festival, Tales of Gratz in Austria, International Poetry Festival and the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
