An Evening of Billie Holiday is a beautiful tribute to the impeccable phrasing and artistry of one of the world’s most iconic jazz artists at the height of her fame.
The sultry rhythms and stirring sounds will transport you to a bygone era with favorites like: Lover Man, All of Me, God Bless the Child, Strange Fruit and other legendary tunes. Monica Cantrell’s physical and musical depiction of Billie Holiday hearkens you back to the 1940s and ’50s as if you were at the club with Billie herself.
