BASIC WATERCOLOR INSTRUCTION

Watercolor is an amazing and versatile medium.  It is easily portable and a relatively inexpensive way to get started with painting and to explore your creativity.  This class will explore the principles and basics of watercolor painting.  Projects will be geared toward the beginner, but if you have some experience and just want to brush up on your skills and paint with a group, you can pick your own project and the instructor will be happy to provide individual instruction.
 
We will cover materials and supplies, techniques for various effects, brushwork, design transfer, color theory, value as well as explore different styles. Time will be spent on experimentation with techniques and on individual projects.  Students will be given the opportunity to work on exercises at home if desired. No experience is necessary.
