From Beethoven to Beauty and the Beast!

The Philharmonic of Indianapolis is pleased to start its season at the Indianapolis Public Library during its 100th year celebration for a free Saturday afternoon one-hour concert of Beethoven, Brahms, and Beauty and the Beast! A concert that also features music from Guardians of the Galaxy, The Lion King, and Stars and Stripes Forever, this concert is sure to please today’s audience of diverse interests! And to keep the concert lively for young audience members, most of the shorter works are no longer than 4-5 minutes!  We are even presenting music written by a young high school composer, Ben Shively, from Lafayette, whose award-winning (already!) music captures an imaginative style that embraces many different current influences!
