The Indy connect is strong as Oliver Nelson Jr, son of legendary composer and saxophonist Oliver Nelson Sr, recreates the 1961 classic jazz album Blues in the Abstract Truth with the help of Indy’s best. This seminal album remains Nelson’s most acclaimed album and featured Indy’s own Freddie Hubbard, Eric Dolphy, George Barrow, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers and Roy Haynes.
