Classic Bellydance Choreography

Over the course of 16 weeks, we’ll be learning about the ancient art of belly in a dynamically scripted dance with an Egyptian composition called, “Wa Daret El Ayam” by Umm Kalthoum, one of Egypt’s most beloved all-time singers from the 1930s to the 1970s.  She was considered a staple in the Arab world and became a symbol of modern Egyptian art, music and culture.  Umm was known for her epic concerts and hypnotizing, mesmerizing voice.  We will be using a variation of this song by Dr. Samy Farag as an adaptation from Umm’s 30-minute performance.  Whether you’re a beginner or a returning student or an advanced belly dancer looking for a good challenge, this choreography is designed for all in mind.

Registration for the Winter/Spring Session will end after the first week of classes.

$160 for all 16 weeks by December 27th, $200 until registration closes (by the end of January 9th, 2019).

Classes end the last week of April.
