Coextensive Matter Closing Reception

Artists Justin Grubb and Marita Chustak explore the curious beauty found within the deepest reaches of our universe in their show, Coextensive Matter. Their work uses pattern, texture, and form to bring outer space (Grubb) and the microscopic world (Chustak) tangibly to the forefront of the viewer’s mind. The aim is to initiate an intimate connection with the viewer, sparking a meditation on some of the most primary of elements. By bringing together these two foci, that of telescopy and that of microscopy, the artists highlight the enduring unity of the universe and the connection humans have with it. This sense of oneness and reflection offers an optimistic outlook for the future.
