Defining Virtuoso!

The Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis finishes its classical season by Defining Virtuoso! with Special guests, Sonya Hayes and winning high school composer, Samantha Stoltzfus.

The Philharmonic brings its 2017-2018 subscription season to a close with a bit of virtuosic display.  Leonard Bernstein’s three dance episodes from On the Town takes us to New York with sailor’s on shore leave!  His whimsical musical spree is filled with jazz rhythms and lively orchestral outbursts!  What is particularly wonderful about the nature of this kind of concert is that the first half of the concert can celebrate several things, like the composition winners of the Indiana Music ... view more »
