This thought-provoking session will address fundamental questions surrounding the concept of blood quantum, which Native Americans have had to grapple with since colonization. Delve into the historical context, understanding why the United States government implemented this practice to limit citizenship and its evolving implications.

We will explore this idea of blood quantum, what it has done to the individual Native American, what it has done to tribes, and how it affects treaty rights.
