Emily Schwank Exhibition and an Artist Reception

In the spring of 2013, Emily Schwank and her daughter, Asher, visited Ireland. Emily had been many times previously, visiting her sister, while Asher was visiting for the first time. In the words of Emily: "My sister and I taught to my daughter the terms of travel and of life. Be curious and resourceful. Be afraid sometimes that to do something might kill you; do it anyway. Embrace the new and the wild; be glad of your bed, safe and sound."

This exhibition represents a small part of Emily’s photographic journal of that trip, and the exploration of "the Narnia Forests and Political Murals, the Black Taxis and Mountains, the Pubs and Pints, and Wild Cliffs."
