Eternity Experiencing Consciousness

We are…eternity experiencing consciousness. Time is a human construct with which we measure the entire universe around us.

Our own experiencing of the transpiration of time — or consciousness — is the medium through which we most vividly and earnestly encounter life’s nourishing nectar of our individual and subjective experiences.

This series is a probe into the contradiction of our basic human spirit and the ready-made cogs in the global machine we have become.

Long-Sharp Gallery is evaluating how to best serve our community in these tumultuous times.  In the wake of George Floyd’s murder and those that preceded it, we are mindful of the funds needed for anti-racist organizations to function as the entire country mobilizes to demand change.

As a business, we feel that we have a few resources to call upon: in the immediate sense, we can – and have – utilized our voices both privately and publicly, and we can – and have – donated our funds to some of the organizations advocating for change.

We can also adapt our existing exhibits to align with these aims. With the enthusiastic agreement of Jason Myers, we have decided to use proceeds of this exhibit to support the immediate needs of the anti-racist community.

As such, 35% of the sale price of any work sold from this exhibit will go directly to one of the following organizations: BlackLivesMatter, The ACLU, The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, The Southern Poverty Law Center, Reclaim the Block, or The George Floyd Family Fund.
