First Friday Gallery Opening

Visit the Harrison Center on November 6th for the opening of 6 new shows.

Friday, November 6th brings the opening night of “Zephyr,” a new collection of paintings, drawings, and ceramics by Kyle Ragsdale. Zephyr means “a soft wind,” and the figures throughout the paintings are enveloped in swirling and flowing fabric. The show blends inspiration from Baroque and Rococo periods with more modern techniques, such as splatters, drips, & visible brush strokes. “Zephyr” will be available for purchase online the Monday before First Friday (November 2nd). Info regarding how this event is being affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.:

COVID 19 PLAN HERE’S OUR PLAN TO KEEP GUESTS, PATRONS, AND ARTISTS SAFE: Employees and guests will be required to wear a face mask, per the Marion County executive order, maintain a physical distance of at least six feet and follow predetermined traffic flow and room occupancy limits. Extra sanitizing precautions will be taken and janitorial staff will be onsite for frequent cleaning during the event. Hand sanitizer will be provided in each gallery. Social Distance visuals and signage are onsite, and social distancing will be required. A limited number of guests will be allowed in the building at a time. Guests will enter at City Gallery, at the corner of 15th and Delaware, and follow a contactless one-way flow through the building. More guests can enter as space allows.
