Free the Imprisoned Lightning!

In the mid-20th century, a German-born Jewish man makes his way from the Lower East Side of Manhattan to Covington, Georgia, where he buys a jewelry store and marries the daughter of one of the town’s founding families.

Generations later, these relatives of intertwined faiths bond anew over a painting, an heirloom of great and unexpected value. Yes, this story features Marguerite Van Camp, M.D.!

Andy Offutt Irwin is a storyteller, arts educator, singer-songwriter and humorist. He is arguably the world’s best whistler, performing professionally and prestigiously with the likes of the famous chamber group the Kandinsky Trio, for one.
