The Hendricks Symphony, under the direction of Benjamin G. Del Vecchio, presents a free Talent Showcase featuring Pamela Fisher, flute. This concert will be held on Sunday, October 21 at Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church (4396 E. Main Street, Avon.) This concert will feature beautiful and uplifting flute music.
Pamela Fisher, principal flutist of the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra since 2007, also plays piccolo/3rd flute with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis. An active chamber musician and recitalist, she is a founding member of the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Slaughterhouse Five woodwind quintets. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance and her Master of Arts degree in flute performance/music history from Ball State University, where she studied with Paul Boyer.
Previously she served as piccolo/3rd flute with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra and principal flutist of the Indianapolis Symphonic Band. She participated in master classes with baroque flutist Barthold Kuijken and former Chicago Symphony Orchestra principal flutist Donald Peck.
She was selected after a national audition as a member of the 2017 National Flute Association’s (NFA) Professional Flute Choir that was featured at the 45th Annual National Flute Association convention in Minneapolis, MN.
Fisher and her husband Jim reside in Indianapolis, IN.
