'Illuminando el Camino,' an ILA Group Show

Time Keepers of Kairos by Teresa Vazquez

Indy Latina Artists (ILA, pronounced “Eee-Lah”), a group of Latina visual artists living in and around Indianapolis, Indiana, will open two simultaneous shows at different venues for the month of February.

The Phoenix Theatre will host Illuminando el Camino, (Lighting the Path) outside of the Basile Theatre, accompanying “Mojada,” a play addressing themes of Mexican culture, immigration, and assimilation by Luis Alfaro. This show will open with a reception on opening night for “Mojada,” on February 16th, 6pm. There will also be a corresponding “Trail Talk,” regarding immigration and DACA, on February 22nd.
