Indiana Avenue Walking Tour: Herron + Indiana Humanities One State/One Story

Liz Kaye

Herron art history students are teaming up with Sampson Levingston of Through2Eyes to host an informational walking tour of Indiana Avenue with a subsequent discussion based on themes from the book All That She Carried by Tiya Miles.

All That She Carried by Tiya Miles is a part of Indiana Humanities’ One State/One Story program.

As Mr. Levingston leads the tour, he will focus on uncovering the hidden history of Indiana Avenue illustrating how what’s here now can tell us about what once was. Students will lead the discussion after the tour explaining how materials of the past can tell us about the people and cultures that used them.
